The Solomon Coyle Peer Group is intended to bring commercial office furniture dealerships from across the country together to share best practices.
Principals from these dealerships meet periodically, and though all of attendees are from Allsteel dealerships, each exists within different markets and rarely compete with one another. The principals find these meetings extremely valuable as they have the opportunity to compare notes and strategies on topics such as branding, marketing, staffing, operations and overall “go to market” strategies. Solomon Coyle does a terrific job leading valuable and insightful discussions keeping the meetings relevant at all times.
During the week of October 26, 2015, COFCO, along with Solomon Coyle, hosted the most recent Peer Group meeting and became the first dealership to do so (the meetings are typically done in Allsteel showrooms). COFCO was proud to showcase our beautiful Allsteel Resource Center and welcome our fellow dealers from across the county.
Day One of the dealer forum (Tuesday, October 27, 2015) consisted of meetings at the COFCO Resource Center, followed by a tour of the entire space and a happy hour in COFCO’s café. The day ended with dinner in Philadelphia.
On the second day (Wednesday, October 28, 2015) the group met at the Courtyard by Marriot in Center City Philadelphia for another day of meetings. Allison Wilson-Maher from Jones Lange LaSalle was the guest speaker, and she spoke to the group about the state of the local healthcare market.
Following the meetings on Wednesday, the group visited NeoCon East, which had just this year been moved to Philadelphia, and finished the day with dinner.
COFCO team members enjoyed the unique experience of getting to talk to members of other dealership dealerships and discuss how they “work.” Joan Waters and Dean Molz did a great job of leading the forum and we were proud to share our space with such an elite team of professionals.
