AtlantiCare is a provider of healthcare in Southern NJ and the largest employer in Atlantic County. COFCO and AtlantiCare have done many projects together over the last 15 years. AtlantiCare searched for a location large enough to house and provide a single source of services for their patients. Consequently, they acquired and renovated an empty supermarket structure in a lightly-served community.
AtlantiCare and their partner Geisinger, challenged the COFCO design team to create a space that eliminates the traditional waiting areas, a concept introduced by David Feinberg CEO at Geisinger. COFCO was successful in providing a solution that realized AtlantiCare’s vision for the space—soothing colors, flexible seating arrangements and, welcoming community spaces.
